Since the first Ronald McDonald House opened in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the McDonald’s System, including owner/operators, suppliers, employees, and customers, has embraced our mission as their own. Donations from McDonald’s restaurants help support Ronald McDonald House programs around the world, providing families with the care, comfort, and resources they need while their children receive medical treatment.
For more than 40 years, our local McDonald’s Owner/Operators across Central Pennsylvania have been dedicated partners, supporting our mission through monetary and sponsorship contributions, volunteerism, and active participation on boards and committees. Their ongoing commitment helps provide children with stability, care, and the comfort of being close to their families during medical treatment.
Although the McDonald’s System is our largest corporate partner, Ronald McDonald House Central Pennsylvania is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and is not solely funded by any one company. We rely on the generosity of the entire community and deeply value all support, whether through time, talent, or financial contributions.
At Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital, our Hospitality Kiosk provides families and caregivers with snacks, essential items, and support during long days at the hospital.
At UPMC Harrisburg, our Cart with a Heart delivers comfort items, refreshments, and encouragement directly to patient floors, helping families feel cared for when they need it most.
Together with our Ronald McDonald House in Central PA, these programs ensure families have a safe place to stay, meaningful support, and moments of relief while their child receives medical care nearby.
