For more than 40 years, Ronald McDonald House Central PA has been supported by dedicated Mission Partners and Hospital Partners who share our commitment to keeping families close when it matters most. Together, these partners help ensure that families have access to comfort, care, and essential resources while their children receive medical treatment. Their collaboration strengthens our ability to serve families across the region and supports better health outcomes for children every day.

Our Founding Mission Partner

Since the first Ronald McDonald House opened in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the McDonald’s System, including owner/operators, suppliers, employees, and customers, has embraced our mission as their own. Donations from McDonald’s restaurants help support Ronald McDonald House programs around the world, providing families with the care, comfort, and resources they need while their children receive medical treatment.

For more than 40 years, our local McDonald’s Owner/Operators across Central Pennsylvania have been dedicated partners, supporting our mission through monetary and sponsorship contributions, volunteerism, and active participation on boards and committees. Their ongoing commitment helps provide children with stability, care, and the comfort of being close to their families during medical treatment.

Although the McDonald’s System is our largest corporate partner, Ronald McDonald House Central Pennsylvania is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and is not solely funded by any one company. We rely on the generosity of the entire community and deeply value all support, whether through time, talent, or financial contributions.

Hospital Partners

Through our hospital-based programs, Ronald McDonald House Central PA brings comfort and care directly to families inside area hospitals. Our Family Room, located on the 8th floor of Penn State Health Golisano Children’s Hospital, offers NICU families a quiet space to rest, recharge, and find comfort without leaving the hospital.

At Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital, our Hospitality Kiosk provides families and caregivers with snacks, essential items, and support during long days at the hospital.

At UPMC Harrisburg, our Cart with a Heart delivers comfort items, refreshments, and encouragement directly to patient floors, helping families feel cared for when they need it most.

Together with our Ronald McDonald House in Central PA, these programs ensure families have a safe place to stay, meaningful support, and moments of relief while their child receives medical care nearby.
